Science of…Fireflies

Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Nebraska Wildlife Education presents “Science of…Fireflies.”

Fireflies light up Nebraska summer nights, but there’s a lot more to these glowing insects than meets the eye. This virtual program explores the biology, behavior, and life cycle of fireflies, including how and why they produce light, how they communicate, and their role in local ecosystems. You’ll also learn where to find them, what makes different species unique, and tips for observing these magical insects in your own backyard.

This is a free virtual program, however, registration is required to attend. Please use this link to register: https://outdoornebraska.zoom.us/.../op2LCfW7TFK-StnsfOxvnw
