Pollinators: An important early Spring food source for little carpenter bees, cuckoo bees, mason bees, Halictid bees, Halictid cuckoo bees, Andrenid bees, Syrphid flies, thick-headed flies, Tachinid flies, small butterflies, and skippers.
Other Information: Wild Strawberry is native to the United States and can be identified by its white flowers in the Spring, and hanging fruits in the Summer. Mock Strawberry (Potentilla indica) is non-native. It can be identified by its yellow flowers and upright fruit. This plant spreads via runners and is great for ground cover.
