Pollinators: Honeybees, bumblebees, mason bees, leaf-cutting bees, cuckoo bees, Halictid bees, Andrenid bees, small butterflies and skippers.

Other Information: Can spread aggressively and form dense thickets if allowed. Berries eaten by numerous birds and mammals. Fruit is edible for humans. Dead canes provide nesting habitat for bees.
