Pollinator Alliance of the Heartland presents “Milkweed and Cookies: Native Plant Giveaway and Vendor Fair.”

Join us to celebrate our 4th Annual Milkweed and Cookies event. Register at https://forms.gle/riHMsoXF9zhYLZry6 to claim your *FREE* native plant garden
-*a $20 refundable deposit will be collected at time of registration. This fee will be fully refunded the day of the event when you pick-up your garden. REGISTRARTION IS REQUIRED TO RECEIVE PLANTS!

We have a TWO garden options this year, choose from:
1) Sun / Part Sun Garden
- Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa)
- Blacksamson Coneflower (Echinacea angustifolia)
- Large-flowered Beardtongue (Penstemon grandiflorus)
- Missouri Evening Primrose (Oenothera macrocarpa)
- Dotted Blazing Star (Liatris punctata)
- Stiff Goldenrod (Oligoneuron rigidum)
2) Part Sun / Shade Garden
- Wild Geranium (Geranium maculatum)
- Common Violet (Viola sororia)
- Elm-leaf Goldenrod (Solidago ulmifolia)
- Hairy Beardtongue (Penstemon hirsutus)
- Calico Aster (Symphyotrichum lateriflorum)
- Pennsylvania Sedge (Carex pensylvanica)

Gardens will be available for the first 160 households who register. Registration and refundable payment is required to reserve your plants!

A Vendor fair with local non-profits and businesses, a raffle, a cookie decorating station, and three speaker presentations will all be available during this event.

Speakers / Presentations:
- 12:30PM - 1:15PM: Amanda Stastny, Bumbling Bee Native Wildflowers, “The Importance of Urban Habitat.”
- 1:30PM - 2:15PM: Jody Green, UNL Extension, "Wild About Wild Bees."
- 2:30PM - 3:15PM: Shelia Schrader, Schrader Landscape Design, ""Getting Started with Native Landscape Design.”
