Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Nebraska Invasive Species Council presents “Know Your Invasives Day at Schramm Park SRA.”

Join Nebraska Game and Parks and the Nebraska Invasive Species Council at Know Your Nebraska Invasives Day on Saturday, May 30 from noon to 3 p.m. at Schramm Park State Recreation Area!

This all-ages event is full of interactive activities for people of all skillsets. Learn about Nebraska’s terrestrial and aquatic invasive species threats, how to prevent them, and how they impact Nebraska’s diverse ecosystems. Nebraska’s invasive species professionals will guide you through fun and educational activities, demonstrate invasive species management methods, and answer any questions you may have.

Activities
· Guided nature hike

· Aquatic vegetation sampling demonstration

· Electrofishing demonstration on the Platte River

· Shoreline fishing guidance and loaner equipment

· Live Backyard Farmer taping at 3pm on site

· Activities relating to Nebraska’s invasive species, aquatic resources, and geology

· Many more!

Stick around after the event for a live taping of Backyard Farmer television show to the east of the Schramm Education Center Building!

This event will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather. Any cancellation or changes will be updated on the Outdoor Calendar
